My little imitator
Just random thoughts about Paige...
It's so funny and interesting to watch her play by herself and see what she chooses and how she manipulates it. We had noticed some time ago that she was imitating little things we do and we got a kick out of it. Now it seems like every day she is doing something else, without being taught, that she has seen us do. She loves to get the brush out of Tom's drawer in the bathroom and walk around the house 'brushing' her hair. After I brush her teeth at night, I have to give her the toothbrush and she spends a couple minutes biting it and mock-brushing. She has started wanting me to put lotion on her hands so she can rub her palms together. And just today I saw her on her hands and knees with a tissue 'wiping' the floor - when the dogs come in from a wet yard we wipe the water/mud off the floor with paper towels and cleaner. It kind of drove home the fact that our kids are watching and listening to everything we say and do, even when we don't think they are. She learns so fast and so thoroughly. We really have to start being careful about what we say and how we act so that she is not picking up things we don't want her to.
